Wow, what great ideas! It’s amazing what can be accomplished with just a few items and tons of imagination. You guys are masters of the “chic on a budget” concept. Can’t wait to see more !

I’ll take a starter! Katie, I am so sorry Madeline and I can’t make this Friday (Cross Country banquet)! But I’d love a starter bag!

  3. Are you gals on Twitter?

Hey Annica! You can follow us on Twitter by just clicking the links on the side column of the blog in the “Share a Slice” section. We all have our own Twitter accounts.

  4. Wow. I’m so impressed with your site. I follow about 100 blogs, and I’ve just come across yours from the Outpost Exchange cover.

This is beautiful, your posts are easy to read, your pictures are gorgeous, and the content is impeccable.

    I love it here….

  5. Hi Ladies,

Hello ladies! I love, love your site, especially the recipes. I’m actually planning on making the blueberry pie and pesto salad for a 4th of July party this weekend. Question – have you ever thought about making your recipes printable? I always end up copying your recipes into Word, deleting any pictures, and printing from there. I’ve seen (as I’m sure you have) other sites that have a print option that puts the recipe in a nice, printable format. Just a thought.

    Keep up the great works!

  7. My daughter-in-law is also in love with Peter Rabbit. I would love to know how to make or who made “the diaper cake”? Her shower is coming up soon, and it’s her first, so we want it to be special. You girls are very talented.
    Thanks for the web site.

  8. Can you tell me how I could get the “Diaper Cake”? It is great.

Was a big fan, but I think you ladies are loosing your way. Per dictionary.com: haute is defined as high-class or high-toned; fancy. Appetizers made with cresent rolls out of a tube (the buffalo chicken appetizer) and freezer friendly meatloaf are not HAUTE. I miss the original content where you used high quality ingredients and unique flavors coupled with other creative flares that made for a truly haute website. Instead of hauteapplepie you have become mcdonald’sappleturnovers. Bring back the style, creativity, the hauteness!!

Ouch. We’re sorry to hear you’re not loving HAP these days. I wish we could say that our lives are all gourmet ingredients and complicated desserts, but honestly, that’s just not reality. The three of us are moms to very young children who also have real jobs that keep us more than busy. We write this blog for fun and we write about real things we make and do…whether that be a cake made from scratch or a freezer friendly meatloaf. It may not always be “haute enough” for everyone’s liking but we think that making time to cook for the people you love is pretty special, regardless of how fancy the dish is.

Hi! I have a question. Where did you print your name tags with the individual pictures on them ? I spoke with vistaprint and they have a minimum of 10 name tags per person which is crazy. Thank you for your help.

  16. I like the helpful information you supply on your articles. I’ll bookmark your blog and test again right here frequently. I am fairly certain I will be informed many new stuff right right here! Best of luck for the next!
