{Giveaway!} Wisconsin Cheese Gift Box

When the friendly folks at Wisconsin Cheese Masters offered to sponsor a reader giveaway, they didn’t have to twist our arms. They offer artisan cheeses online and deliver them to straight to your door so that even if you don’t live in Wisconsin you can enjoy its bounty.

So this week we’re excited to be giving away a gift box of Wisconsin artisan cheeses! And what a better time to send some Wisconsin cheese your way than for the Super Bowl starring our beloved Green Bay Packers (sorry, Stef)! You don’t have to be a cheesehead to win.Β  We just think that any Super Bowl party is better with a little Wisconsin cheese.

Wisconsin Cheese Masters also sent along this tasty recipe for Parmesan Cheese Clouds (like little parmesan cookies!) plus we’ve included links to our favorite cheese recipes below so that even if you don’t win you can still get in on the cheesehead action.

Cheese Clouds
1 C butter
2 C water
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
2-2 1/2 C flour
10 oz shredded SarVecchio or aged parmesan
6 eggs

Combine butter, water, sugar and salt in a sauce pan. Cook until butter melts and whisk in 2 C flour. Reduce heat, stirring constantly for one minute. Pour into a mixing bowl and beat on low for one minute to cool. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add remaining flour until batter is thick and firm. Fold in cheese. Drop by tablespoons onto parchment lined baking sheet and dust with paprika and kosher salt. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 400 degrees.

Da Packers all the way! I won’t be making anything on Super Bowl because we are going out this year. Last year was our 15th and final Super Bowl Party. We got 3 calls after the game yesterday to see if our party would “come out of retirement” for the Big Game.

I’ll make slow cooker creamy potato and veggie bake

  17. Julie

Since the Bills are awful and half my friends are from Wisconsin I’ll be cheering for the Packers. I’ll probably make mini pizzas with gorgonzola, prosciutto and cherry tomatoes and any other combos I can come up with.

  18. Kellie

PACKERS! I will be making either spinach artichoke dip( with loads of cream cheese and parm), or buffalo chicken dip (with loads of cream cheese and cheddar)! GO PACK GO!!!

  19. Theresa

Love your site, gals! You always have clever ideas. Read about you in the MU alumni magazine and have passed on your blog to many others. I will, of course, be rooting for the Packers and will make a great blue cheese/mango chutney ball rolled in tosted pecans. YUM!

  26. I’ll be rooting for the Packers and making a yummy cheesy spinach dip!

  27. What an amazing Giveaway! who doesnt like cheese!!
as for the superbowl, i am just hoping there are some good commercials. the packers crushed my bears and i suppose i would rather have them win over the steelers.
i want to try to make the chorizo cheeseburger pie! i was looking at this post and my boyfriend saw it and started drooling… πŸ™‚
    xoxo jcd

  30. Mary Trinh

Rooting for the Packers while eating Fresh-From-My-Farm-Pork-Brats made in Leinenkugels Honey Weiss Beer. Wisconsin for the win!

  31. I’m rooting for no one – the bears had my vote! I would make a beer cheese dip.

  32. Packers (if for no other reason than that expected productivity at work that week will be 0% !!)
Cheesing : I’m with the poster above who talked about a cheese platter, with grapes and fancy crackers. Yum. Actually, I might just have that for dinner as well..

  33. Allison

Hmmm…let’s see. I will be rooting for the commercials! I am not a big football fan. Isn’t Glee on afterwards? I will be rooting for that to start! And I love my mom’s Cheesy Taco Dip. Cream Cheese spread on bottom of a pie plate with salsa, black beans and of course cheese melted on top. THE BEST!

  34. Victoria L

Packers all the way!!! I will be at a friend’s house for the Super Bowl party and have been told that there is no need to bring a dish, they are having it catered, nice πŸ™‚ But I will wear (at least for a moment or two) the Cheese Head that I received because I lost a bet. Don’t bet anyone that they can’t buy a cheese head in Las Vegas, they can!

  35. Leslie V

Will be rooting for the Packers. Macaroni and cheese and cheesy potato soup are big hits in our house since we have a couple kidlets in the 4 and under age group (yes, I feed my toddler soup–it’s messy but worth it). I would LOVE this cheese basket since I can’t be in WI to be part of the Packer fever–I’ll be rooting from our current location of Buffalo, NY.

  36. As a Bears fan, I’m really conflicted on who to root for! I can’t root for the Packers (I spent 4 years of college in Madison defending my Chicago sports teams!), but I HATE Ben Roethlisberger… ugh, decisions, decisions. I do know, however, that I will be rooting for cheese. I think I’ll make a taco dip and a bacon cheese ball!

  37. Jen

As someone who’s entire family comes from Pittsburgh, I will be rooting for the Steelers or else I will be shunned from family events forever πŸ™‚ Making cheesy pepperoni pinwheels…crescent rolls with pepperoni and tons of cheese oozing out! Yum, is it time for the party yet??

  38. Danielle

I am making those delicious looking Cheese Clouds and voting for the Packers!

  39. Abby

Of course, I am cheering for the Packers. I’ll be making Wisconsin Egg Rolls. (Mozzarella cheese deep fried in an egg roll wrapper).

  40. i’m a colts fan, but my husband is from wisconsin and is a biiiig packer fan. we are going to a superbowl party (hosted by a steeler fan, boooo) and i’m going to make homemade pretzels with a queso dip!

  41. nik

Packers all the way! It’ll be double stuffed pizza and cheese sticks for sure.

  42. Jeri Riddick

Oooo, I just discovered your site! Yum!
We are Dallas Cowboys fans seeing as how we’re from the Austin area and all. But since they don’t seem to be very good at the moment, we’ll be cheering on the Packers. We can’t have snacks without queso, and quesadillas are a great snack for small kids (we have 4). And we LOVE spinach dip so that will be made too. Now if we can get some of that great Wisconsin cheese it would be even better!

  43. I’m hoping for some great commercials and I’ll throw in a cheer or two for the Packers. Cheese dish to be served – baked brie or a spread of my favorite cheeses with crackers.

  44. Packers, baby! I’m going to make homemade mozzarella sticks – deep fried goodness!

  45. Ari

GO STEELERS! black and yellow. I’ll be making some gooey mac and cheese

  46. I’m not rooting for anyone but I like the party aspect of it! πŸ˜‰
I would have a cheese tray with those cheese clouds on it. Or a blue cheesecake and crackers.

  47. Emily Klarkowski

Da Bears!! I would make Parm Ryes… mix Parm cheese, Mayo, and onions…spread on cocktail rye…bake in the oven….mmmmmm.

  48. Jennifer

Cheering for the Packers and making buffalo shredded chicken dip!

  49. 56dustbunny

It’s gotta be the Packers and it’s gotta be my friend Deanna’s awesome queso !

  50. Teresa Matz

go Steelers! and I am trying that recipe for Cheese Clouds!

  51. bricksnivy

    I still say GO BEARS!
I’m from Chicago – what can I say?!! We love our teams!
Yeah – I am NOT rooting for the Packers. I will be serving chicken pot pies on Sunday and, of course, some cheese.

  52. ChicagoMom

Based on proximity, I guess I’ll be rooting for the Packers. We’re all about Nachos at our super bowl parties. And the cheesier, the better, so I hope I win!

  53. Go Pack, Go! I’m thinking that Beer Cheese soup is goign to be on our game day menu. Yum! And you can’t get more ‘Sconi than beer and cheese in the same dish.

  54. Connie

Well, we were thrilled that the Packers won. Although we don’t live in Wisconsin now, my husband and I both grew up there. I think I might make a baked brie with fig jam.

  55. Katie

The contest is now closed 😦 Thanks to everyone who entered! We were so impressed with the cheesy delights you’re all whipping up.

Reader(s) “James & Katie” were selected at random using random.org. Stay tuned in February for another great giveaway!!
    -Haute Apple Pie

  56. Kate, the mom from Chicago

I’ll be rooting for the Packers who just beat our Bears. For our pot luck Super Bowl party we’ll be making pigs and blankets and home made Boursin cheese. Other folks will bring mussels in wine sauce, stuffed mushrooms, Caesar salad served in bar glasses with home made croutons and Parmesan shavings. Yum – go Packers!

  57. RL McGruder

I’ve gotta go for the Packers (I canNOT bring myself to root for the Steelers)! I also must always have RoTel cheese dip at my party!

  58. Angeline from Milwaukee

We’re cheering for the PACKERS and making cheesy bison nacho dip πŸ˜€
